As Cork wedding photographer, Castlemartyr Resort, in East Cork perhaps 40 minutes from my door, is a handy spin down the road. And it is certainly a venue I do enjoy working at. Given the expansive grounds it just makes it a wonderful venue. I spend many of my working days throughout the year photographing weddings on the road. I have almost covered every county in the Republic meeting so many genuine and nice people. And I love that. And yet it can be nice to have a gig to photograph that is just down the road, as it was with this Castlemartyr Resort Wedding for Niamh & John.
If the weather plays ball then an outdoor set up is ideal. It certainly makes a difference given the stunning nature of the grounds on display at Castlemartyr. And to get the most from those grounds.
For Niamh & John it was a wonderful day weather wise so they had the luxury of holding their wedding outdoors on the grounds of the Castlemartyr Resort venue in the heart of East Cork.
We had met sometime back and had a good exchange of views when we met for a consultation. For me it is great to see the excitement in a couple’s faces when viewing portfolio work. With Niamh & John I felt that they could see the value in the work that I was producing. And certainly the potential when it came to their wedding day.
As a Cork wedding photographer, working and specialising as a candid wedding photographer, I enjoy the freedom that the grounds present. It is a venue with plenty of opportunities. Especially where my style of photography is concerned. Both behind and in the front of the venue with lots of spaces to wander about and get in the bigger picture so here’s a summary of their Wedding day.
