I always love to photograph at a venue that is new to me. Getting around the country and meeting out new people and working fresh venues. To keep pushing the style of work to new places, it keeps the eye fresh.
Even now it’s enjoyable to get feedback on the way I operate, it’s still something quite rare for some to see. And let’s face it, how many genuine documentary wedding photographers do we have on this island? I can count them with one hand.
It is also always very enjoyable and refreshing to sit down with a couple and get a good feeling from them right away. And know that they get it. And it was like that with Brenda & Michael. They knew what I could offer. They both knew my work inside and. It suited them down to the ground. I in return got such a strong feeling from them.
I was thrilled to be making my first visit to Raheen House in Clonmel to photograph their wedding. There was a fantastic spirit on the day and that always gives me something to feed upon and work with on the day.
This one turned out to be a very healthy set of images so I hope that this 60 plus images can do some justice to that set, it is concise but gets to the spirit of day.
