This was my first Ashley Park wedding day. And what a day it was. Caught during an absolutely intense heatwave. And you could certainly say that the weather was on this couple’s side. And simply ideal for their wedding ceremony to be held outside. But then again that summer was so good in this year that the outdoor ceremony was certainly quite popular.
It was a pleasure to photograph Sarah and John’s wedding. They are an absolute totally chilled out couple. And a couple of creatives themselves. So for them it was obvious it was the only option. And that was having a creative type to photograph their own wedding. And in a reportage style. Of course.
I go to the house on the morning. Sarah’s dad was sitting back reading the paper. Mother and aunts happily fussing. Grand kids roaming the house and garden. Meanwhile, Sarah was getting excited as the ceremony time was drawing nearer.
En route to Ashley Park, Sarah and her father stopped off at a local drinking spot before heading off to Nenagh for her ceremony. Watching them enjoy this moment and mere moments she gets married.
And as my first visit to this venue, I was blown away by it. A proper unique house on some stunning grounds. With the ceremony to take place on the water on the front lawn of the house. The setting and weather conditions were certainly perfect for this day.
John had the groomsmen milling about doing little jobs. Taking the pressure off perhaps by keeping busy. I often find the groom can be quite nervous at this stage. And he should be. It’s a big day.
And once the ceremony was over it’s clear to see that this wedding party enjoyed the beautiful day and enjoyed their own visit to Ashley Park. I know I did. And I’ll look forward to many returns there as it is certainly one of my favorite venues.
So, here’s a select set of pics from Sarah & John’s Ashley Park Wedding.
